The point is, that on Hejto (which is a Polish social media site) – on which I started a [@kontrabanda_blog](<https://kontrabanda.net/@kontrabanda_blog>) account to gain new following – people here really liked the way I explained XMPP to newbies or returning-after-many-years users.
And although I appreciate the high reputation the article has garnered across Hejto’s community, that happened in a bit unfavourable moment: there’s no XMPP client for at least Android, which “just works” and the user interface won’t make you run away from XMPP seconds after you look at it.
I really looked forward to improve the interface part of Monocles Chat. But if Monocles Chat’s lead developer said that app designer despised my potential improvements – there’s no other way than just forking the code away.
